Experience
Shane has over 20 years experience in creating amazing food. His joy of exploring the many genres of food has provided him with a wide range of style. He first opened his own business in Glenwood Springs, Colorado with a self-fabricated food cart. He served up gourmet soups and pulled pork sandwiches before getting in his turns on the mountain. He spent time learning the island life in the Bahamas, cooking at a local artist cafe while also cultivated his love of kite boarding. That is what brought him to the Columbia Gorge. He spent the first couple of years in the area as the Executive Chef at Bonneville Hot Springs Spa and Resort before going back to business for himself. In 2011, the Four and Twenty Blackbirds Food Truck was born. Serving his local community has offered him the variety he loves. Over the last 6 years, Shane has found himself catering weddings as large as 400, he has been the exclusive food vendor for the annual Star Party which brings in over 1000 hungry star gazers to the dark skies of Central Oregon. He has been called to be at the finish line of many races, exclusive camps, wine maker's dinners, private chef for business get-aways- to name but a few. Shane finds the abundance around him to be all inspiring. The Columbia Gorge is rich with micro-farms that offer a wide range of produce and meat options. He is regularly brought a box of freshness and sources his salmon from local native fishermen. Wholesome Gourmet Goodness is always the mission.
Family Man
Shane resides on a forested property with his wife and business partner, Kathryn Eagan. They are the proud parents of two young children and many animals. When Shane isn't feeding the world, he's enjoying the recreational lifestyle of the Gorge and family life. Being able to live in a small community that takes pride in supporting small local business owners is what they rely upon. Showcasing the best of the Gorge is the mission.
